Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha who had been struggling for long time in Industry got some relief with their latest outing Ittefaq. The film opened to fantastic word of mouth from critics and audience alike. The film running good in both screen single as well multiplexes. The murder mystery started slow yesterday but has shown the desired jump on its 2nd day at the box office. It seems positive reviews has helped to build up the word of mouth for the film. The film faces little bit heat from Hollywood release Thor which released simultaneously is running fantastic in multiplexes.
Ittefaq 3rd Day Box Office Collection
Bollywood latest crime thriller Ittefaq had an average opening of Rs 4.01 crore. The day two of the film saw 35.80% growth in its business and thus the total box office collection of the film by day 2 is of Rs 9.55 crore. This is a word-of-mouth film and the makers have promoted it very smartly. The trailer of the film garnered a lot of publicity and now going by its weekend graph at domestic box office it seems the content of the film turns out to be worthy.
Ittefaq Sunday Box Office Income
Ittefaq is riding high on a very strong word of mouth. The audience and critics have praised the film for its hard-hitting content. The film showed significant improvement on its first Saturday, with collections of about Rs 5.50 crore. On Sunday the audience went to theaters in limited range as result the film witnessed limited jump by raking 6.50 Cr and took its total to 16.05 Cr net at domestic box office.
Ittefaq is the adaptation of the 1969 hit film by the same name which had Rajesh Khanna, Iftekhar, and Nanda in the lead. While Sidharth plays the role essayed by Rajesh Khanna, Sonakshi steps into Nanda’s shoes in the film. Akshaye plays the no-nonsense cop which was essayed by Iftekhar in the original.
It’s just a matter of day for the audience to topple a film’s box office rankings. It will be interesting to see whether Sid-Sonakshi starrer murder mystery holds the momentum against Thor during weekdays or not.
